Kendrick Lamar at Compton Best Buy via Rap-Up

After 2012′s success with studio album good kid, m.A.A.d city, Kendrick Lamar held an album signing at Best Buy for his latest album To Pimp a Butterfly. The Grammy award-winning artist took it back to where it all started with a signing in his hometown of Compton. According to Rap-Up over 2500 fans lined up outside of the Compton Best Buy to get his third studio album signed.

Lamar thanked fans at the event, “I wanna say thank you. Thank you for believing in me since day one. I’ve been doing my thing on the underground scene for years, you know, proud to be putting out any albums,” he said. “These the same people that have been rocking with me so I want to say thank you for believing in me and I believe in you the same, so as long as we believe in each other, I will continue to do this music.”
